Our HS-E and HS-I type cutter teeth are all best-selling types. These two types all can be divided into pick teeth, chisel teeth and flared teeth. Different shapes of cutter teeth can meet different soil type in the dredging area. If the soil type is very hard, it’s more suitable to use pick teeth; on the contrary, if the soil type is very soft, it’s more suitable to use flared teeth; if the soil type is medium, the chisel teeth is the best choice.
The following is the design idea of our HS-E type cutter teeth. Hansel offers pick style teeth for rock dredging, designed with a trapezoidal bit cross section to maintain sharpness; plus chisel and flared style teeth for sand and clay applications. Cutter teeth fit onto adapters with a quarter-twist and butt-fit against the adapter nose to take thrust loads head-on. The helical thread and large stabilizing flats distribute loads over the entire adapter nose for exceptional strength and breakage is virtually eliminated.
Cutter teeth and adapters need locking pins to connect. Simple locking pins method provides security and ease of replacement. Cutter teeth are secured to the adapter with a single piece vertical pin. To remove worn cutter teeth, simply drive the pin on through and twist the teeth off.
