Hansel Marine has successfully completed the production of an ID500 drag head for a client in Australia. As the first batch of products under the order, the drag head has now completed production and is ready for delivery. It will soon be shipped to Australia for use on the client’s dredger.
First Batch Ready for Delivery
The ID500 drag head was manufactured according to the client’s specific requirements and equipment specifications. After completing the manufacturing process and final quality checks, the product is now ready for delivery.
As a key excavation component of a trailing suction hopper dredger, the drag head is designed to maintain stable contact with the seabed and efficiently collect dredged material for subsequent hydraulic transportation.
The completion and upcoming delivery of the ID500 drag head marks the successful fulfillment of the first stage of this order and further expands Hansel Marine’s supply of dredging components to the Australian market.
Three ID800 Drag Heads Under Production
In addition to the ID500 drag head, three ID800 drag heads included in the same order are currently under production at Hansel Marine’s manufacturing facility.
Our production team is carrying out the manufacturing process according to the agreed technical requirements and delivery schedule. The three ID800 drag heads are expected to be completed and delivered to the client by the end of October 2026.
The phased delivery enables the client to receive the first drag head in advance while the remaining three units continue through production, helping ensure a smooth supply of dredging components for their ongoing operations.
